2011 Oh What a Year!

Where do I begin. It has been such a roller coaster, hince our blog name!! It all started in 2010 when we decided to start a family. We tried for a while but no luck. So I went to my OBGYN and they started me on Clomid. I was really sick and tried for 3 months, but with no success. Then they refered me to Carolina Conceptions where I met Dr. Parks. We then went on Injections. Yes, I had to inject hormones in me for about 5 days and then on Progesterone Pills. So needless to say I may have been a little cranky. To make a long story short due to our insurance I had to switch Dr's. Then we me Dr. Price from Duke Fertility. We discussed our options and chose to do one more round of injections and IUI. Which is inter-uterine insemination. Then on February 22nd @ 3:30 a.m. we found out we were pregnant!!!!!! I had to look twice before I could believe it. I woke Paul up, but He said he really don't remember much. Little did we know the next 6 months would be life changing. That Wed I felt really weird. I told the girl's at work that I just didn't feel right. I knew it couldn't be the pregnancy because it was way to early for anything. The next day at work I felt really bad and decided to go see Dr. Price. With a ultrasound we found out I had Ovarian Hyper stimulation Syndrome. They had to monitor me closely and continue to give my I.V. fluids. When I was 6 weeks along, I went to the E.R. and then we found out we were having twins!!!!!! It was to early to hear the heartbeats but I could see them. From then on my body was not my own.  Ultrasound after Ultrasound and 12 weeks of night sickness, I really didn't know what to expect. I knew being pregnant with twins would be rough. Paul and I would take a journey neither one of us knew what our future would hold!!
